Open In Dialog is a little jquery-ui plugin ,base on jquery ui dialog plugin.

it simply open links  instead  of on new tab\window, in dialog modal.

if the link is external link it will open it in the dialog using iframe.

האתר ניבנה ע"י צוות החברה בתקופה האחרונה כחלק ממכלול השרותים אותם מקבלת בג"ט מחברת אתר + פלוס.
המערכת נכתבה בתשתית DRUPAL.

When in need of a moodle-ish way (as of v1.9.x; in v2.x we got local) to install a non-visible piece of code or in other name a library, we can just use a block and override the user_can_addto method this way:

public function user_can_addto(&$page)
    return false
}

This way we can have all the bendfits that comes with a block, except the unwanted feature of a block as visual component.

This is really old stuff but I have stumbled upon it lately, but IE will not believe you try to serve him plain text, sort of getting insulted by the simple task of rendering plain text, and try to guess what you really serve.

When it thinks you served something he can do butter showoff with like HTML, it will render it as such, and when it fails it will treat this as a file that should be downloaded.

Well all of this sad story sucks if you really want to display plain text, so the magic is to borrow MIME header called "Content-Disposition" and give it a value like "inline;filename=foobar.txt" which will hint IE to render the plain text as is.

P.S. this is mainly a note to myself, fill free to ignore or comment about how much I got it wrong.

Sometimes it is desirable in Moodle 1.9 to create a block which can only used as sticky block, the magic to do it is simple just add the following method to your block and you are ready to go:
